Fashion Shows Rocked By Celebrities



Lakme India Fashion Week was not only a foot-gatherer but if you paid attention, it was quite a talent showcase. This year it provided a great platform to young talent from the among the country’s fashion enthusiasts. There was also the added bling of star presence at almost all the shows. Audience held their breath in anticipation to see whether a celebrity will be walking the runaway? Would there be like a dance routine towards the end? Instead of the awesome and popular showstoppers, big designer went the route of roping in Bollywood celebrities. Manish Malhotra’s opening show had Jacqueline Fernandez and Arjun Kapoor adorning the ramp. After giving a series of big hits in the gone year and been treated as the lucky mascot for many directors, Sonakshi Sinha also aimed the rule the fashion world this time around. She made quite the statement twirling her skirt at Anita Dongre’s show. Another popular celebrity to make a sizzling appearance was Shraddha Kapoor. She showed-off albeit in an edgy new avatar for Masaba Gupta. She looked stunning in a resplendent deep green velvet lehenga paired with an embroidered crop blouse. The dress was an awesome amalgamation of ethnic carried in western style, topped with pill-box purses.

Lisa Haydon had a literal golden walk at the show. The highlight of the week, however, was Rohit Bal’s grand finale at Mumbai’s St Xavier’s College, when Kareena Kapoor appeared all dolled-up with golden curls, flawless skin and kohled eyes. She had everyone mesmerized walking in a heavily embroidered piece.
